For those of you who are new around here, I am Claire and I reached diabetes level 22 this past June and I’m about to reach life level 29. After struggling through diabetes burnout for over 10 years a few years ago I decided to take control and I began my journey from Dia-Bad to Diabadass. I came across people sharing their diabetes journey on social media and I started sharing my journey on Instagram and later started a diabetes blog. Being part of the online diabetes community has been instrumental in my recovery from diabetes burnout. I was fed up of my diabetes looking so clinical and discovered brands like Myabetic and Pump Peelz offering amazing accessories and decided we needed something here in the UK and that’s how Organising Chaos started. An online diabetic shop, offering unique diabetes accessories to decorate diabetes supplies in the UK.
I live in Brighton with my Diahubby (and hopefully soon a puppy), although he may not have diabetes himself, we manage my diabetes together as a team! He wakes up in the middle of the night to my CGM alerts to make sure I treat my hypo or correct my hyper, he carb counts better than I do and definitely helps carry the emotional burdens. I couldn’t manage without having him as my support system.
Organising Chaos is my full-time job, along with my diabetes, and occasionally I help other companies with their marketing. I am so excited to start this new blog to share my journey with everyone and answer some of the questions I frequently get asked. Thank you for joining me on this journey!
